This review is from: NYKO Power Pak Xbox 360 Black
Pros: It fits the XBox 360 Wireless Controllers.
Cons: Expected lifecycle was 3-4 years; however, these stopped taking a charge after only a year. I don't know any way to rejuvenate a cheap battery.
Other Thoughts: It would be nice to find a product that lasts more than a year; unfortunately, the market for these batteries has never resulted in the availability of reliable replacements.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Lots of capabilities in terms of sound customization; great audio quality (for the most part); comfortable.
Cons: Echo feedback into online chat sessions; this is an unexplainable defect in this model that unpredictably comes and goes. There are also "static attacks" that happen only with certain games like Gears of War 3. NewEgg replaced the first defective unit and Turtle Beach is going to give me replacement #3 (the second from them directly).
Other Thoughts: Sometimes the greatest expectations bring the worst realizations. There isn't any reason these faults should be occurring, but Turtle Beach can't explain, excuse or replace these fast enough for me. In addition, it costs me $15 every time I have to send the defective units back - $45 so far that makes the original discount price seem like a cruel joke now - the headset that I keep paying for, over and over again in $15 increments.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Excellent audio quality and technical capabilities; good documentation and easy enough to use if it is working correctly.
Cons: My headset works great - until it doesn't. Seriously, it sounds great, is infinitely adjustable and does the job, except that sometimes it goes haywire and back-feeds the game and chat audio out through to the chat session - a huge, loud echo. My friends are savvy and start screaming at me because I have learned that unplugging & resetting the online chat cable at the headset corrects the issue (temporarily).
The Turtle Beach support department uses the oldest response time mode possible - you must send in the defective unit back at your own expense, wait for them to get to your unit to be confirmed as such and only then do they send you a unit back. I asked them if they would take my credit card number and send me the replacement immediately, saving 10+ days. No way, jose!
It wouldn't be that awful if it weren't the second time I have had to do this.
Other Thoughts: Apparently, you can get all of these features in the new PX3 - check them out.READ FULL REVIEW
