WD Red 2TB NAS Desktop Hard Disk Drive - Intellipower SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD20EFRX
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Decent price, lots of storage

Cons: One of the 2 I bought died already. In a well cooled NAS box running 24/7 started to get smart errors then bad sectors.

Other Thoughts: RMA through WD was fairly painless, able to do it all online. I did have to pay for X-ship.

ZyXEL ZyWALL ZWUSG20W 802.11n Wireless Internet Security Firewall with 4 Gigabit LAN / DMZ Ports, 2 IPSec VPN, SSL VPN , and 3G WAN Support
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Simple to use and setup, nice GUI, no need for CLI

Cons: Not a big fan of active cooling on a firewall, a firewall is a "set it and forget it" device for me, I have no way of knowing if the fan is still running. I would much prefer passive cooling on a device like this.

You have to buy another model or 2 up if you wan't Antivirus at the Firewall.

Other Thoughts: All in all not bad for the money, does offer options for free VPN clients as well.

Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 84W BX80646I74770K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Absolute beast of a CPU, overkill when overclocked really.

Cons: Doesn't cool quite as well and Sandy Bridge. I think it's the IHS design.

Other Thoughts: Running at 4.5Ghz. completely stable on a custom water loop. Only time it every even warms up is during benchmarks or stress tests, normal use and gaming hardly even wakes this CPU up from a nap.
