Pros: Great Performance
Good for any virtualized stuff you might be doing
Cons: Like everyone says, spend $14 on a quieter fan
Other Thoughts: Bought this because offered most core/price ratio. Coupled with 32gb ram, running 40 client Windows domain complete with routing and 2 instances of rackspace cloud. I can only cause slowdown if I TRY.
I game a little too. It wont bottleneck a 7950. Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 maxed, but I am only running a single 1080p display and I dont bother past 2x MSAA.
Pros: Goes on sale for around $200 often
Maxes everything on single 1080p setups
Sturdy card, runs very cool
7950 Good, MSI bad.
Cons: Even after sending several support emails, I never got my copy of Far Cry 3.
Forget your rebate too.
Makes me wonder how I would be treated if I had to RMA this thing ever...
Other Thoughts: The card itself- great. Couldn't ask for more. Nvidia has zero competitors at this price point, remember this card goes on sale for around $200 often, wait for it.
I have to give 1 star for just plain broken promises and false advertising. You cant have offers included as selling points and not deliver on them.
The free games: Far Cry 3 key was reported as invalid. Tried to contact support several times, they gave me the run around every time. Beware, if you have any issues you will NOT get your free games. Thanks for nothing AMD.
MSI's rebate: Total joke. They have the same rebate every month, and it lasts for one month before it repeats again. This means that you have to order your card within the first 2 weeks of the month, otherwise you wont get your card in the mail in time to send in the rebate before it ends every month. So sneaky guys.
Grab a 7950, but not from MSI. Both Gigabyte and Asus have support and help AGES ahead of MSI.
I will probably never buy MSI again for fear how they would treat me if I ever had a problem with the actual card.
