2 out of 5 eggs 2.4GHz Band will not broadcast consistently, with Smart Connect turned on or off on all SSID's or just 5GHz only 04/18/2016

This review is from: ASUS RT-AC5300 Wireless AC5300 Tri-Band MU-MIMO Gigabit Router, AiProtection with Trend Micro for Complete Network Security

Pros: - 5GHz bands are FAST
- Getting 90/Mbps on Comcast on Wired or Wireless
- Easy Interface

Cons: - 2.4GHz band DOES NOT broadcast. It shows for a split second and disappears (see other notes)
- Bulky / Large

Other Thoughts: No idea why but the 2.4GHz won't broadcast and stay broadcasting at all. I was running the previous release of the firmware (Version and figured why not try the BETA firmware that's out right now (Beta Version and see if that fixes it. NOPE! Didn't work.

I have no idea why but the 2.4GHz band just won't broadcast. It shows up for a split second randomly and then disappears. I have the following settings currently and have tried the following settings:

- Smart Connect: 5GHz Smart Connect
- 2.4GHz SSID: Unique
- 5GHz SSID: Unique
- WPA2-Personal

The only device that is dependent on the 2.4GHz band is my NEST Thermostat. Otherwise, I can't get it to jump on 5GHz since it's not a Wireless AC device.

For a router this expensive, this needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY. Contemplating returning it due to this issue.

NOTE: My Thermostat is less than 30 feet from the ASUS AC5300. And there are barely any walls in between them so there shouldn't be an issue with "distance" or any of that garbage.

5 out of 5 eggs Great Controller for Emulators 01/23/2014

This review is from: Logitech F310 (940-000110) Gamepad

Pros: Good D-Pad, Buttons and Joysticks

Cons: Joysticks a little stiff

Other Thoughts: The controller is great for Emulators. Plug and play and you're good. A little button configuration is needed if you want to play your old favorites. Otherwise, it's great. The joysticks are a little stiff to me but they do the job. Got it elsewhere for $15 each.

5 out of 5 eggs Pack of 4 Fans? Can't Complain 04/17/2013

This review is from: COOLER MASTER R4-S2S-124K-GP 120mm Silent Case Fan

Pros: Plenty of Fans
Low Cost

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Pack of 4 case fans, can't complain. They do the job and you get what you expect out of these.
