Pros: My internet speed, according to testmy dot net, increased from 33 Mbps to 52 Mbps. Easy setup--for the most part.
Cons: Parental controls are near useless--which is the whole reason I went with this router in the first place. If keyword filter is used, pretty much none of our computers can go onto the web. When time limits are set, the internet won't work on the machines for which limits were set--even during their allowed times. And yes, I made sure the time for the router was properly set. This was the case for the stock firmware that came with the router and is still the case with the latest firmware.
Other Thoughts: Some friends of mine bought Asus routers similar to mine and were very happy with them. And since this particular router came with the Parental Controls I wanted--I bought it. I guess it's a good thing for them, that they don't use Parental Controls.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ViewSonic PRO8200 1920x1080 FHD 2000 ANSI Lumens, 16:9 Widescreen Aspect Ratio, Dual HDMI / Dual VGA, Two 10-watt Speakers, 1.5x Optical Zoom, PIP/POP Option, Home Theater DLP Projector
Pros: Price, connectivity, ease-of-use, picture quality.
Cons: Speakers on this unit are a bit weak. Definitely plan on hooking up external speakers. And the adjustment for positioning the image seems a bit crude. I don't know how most projectors are set up, but the legs that you screw in/out for height adjustment is a bit awkward.
Other Thoughts: Overall, my whole family is very happy with this purchase. This is our first projector, and we were really surprised. The picture looks awesome! I bought 22x9 feet of blackout cloth from a guy named Carl on an auction site and made two screens--one for indoors and a 16x9 for outdoors. We had our first "Movie Night" last night. I was afraid it would look washed out or just have poor image quality on such a large screen, but it looked perfect. Everyone attending was impressed by the picture quality.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: TRENDnet TEG-S80G Unmanaged 8-Port Gigabit GREENnet Switch
Pros: Simple to set up. Just plug your stuff in and go. Been using it for a month and haven't had any problems.
Cons: It's not too pretty.
Other Thoughts: It's hidden from view, so I don't care if it's stylish or not.READ FULL REVIEW
