Pros: Performance is like new as it should be.
It is well out of warranty now (running 10 months at the time of this review) and no signs of degradation or slow-down.
I like the 3.5" form factor because no adapters or mods of any kind are needed for typical desktop installation.
Newegg had this priced nicely when I got it in Feb '13. 64.99 list price and a -$15.00 email promo code made for a hella $50 deal.
Cons: I suspect that in this particular drive there may be some rare moments of instability while booting Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1. I can't officially prove the SSD guilty here, but every now and then Windows will freeze while at the "starting windows" bootscreen. I never experience this with my previous configuration on this same system with 2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 HDDs in RAID0. Only after I installed Windows on this SSD. I only knocked off one egg since it's a rare incident and no other performance problems have ever occurred.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: XIGMATEK PTI-G4512 thermal grease with gold grade thermal matrix filler particles
Pros: Performs as well as other name brand compounds with no curing time. No oily texture, easy to apply and spread. A little thinner than Arctic Silver 5, which is a good thing.
Cons: That dang air pocket in the syringe!
Other Thoughts: Although the tube isn't completely filled by volume, it still ends up being an alright value. These things are sold by weight, don't forget that.
Don't waste your time with the spreader. You'll be wasting product and it will spread well on its own if you apply and seat you cooler correctly.
Oh, and to the person who said there's only enough for a couple applications in the tube, you are using wayyyyy too much!
Cons: Never worked. Tried it in 3 machines with Windows and Linux. It couldn't detect any networks when it was partially working, then after a couple of swap-arounds it completely DIED. "USB Device Not Recognized," Windows said.
Other Thoughts: You're much better off with the $10 Edimax nano adapter also on this site. I've used 5 of them between my friend and me and those things are solid. Pass on this junk right here... I'm also very disappointed because I have had great experiences with other Rosewill products such as power supplies and CPU coolers.READ FULL REVIEW
