Pros: Keeps my AMD 8350 extremely cool.
Cons: Makes a rattling noise that is annoying and heard outside of case...suspect that it is coming from the water pump. When it randomly decides to stop, it makes a disturbing chirp noise and is very quiet for a while...then starts up again.
Radiator threads are easily stripped when installing unit. Be very careful, and only screw in until just snug.
This review is from: ZALMAN CNPS10X Performa 120mm Long life CPU Cooler
Pros: Well packaged, MASSIVE unit. Looks like it would have worked well. RMA'd due to size issue (see cons).
Cons: Will not work with N82E16813131402 and ripjaw RAM. (or RAM higher than 32mm I think it was)
I think the manufacturer should have disclosed it on the product description, instead of in the instructions where you are thinking to yourself "I wonder if my RAM will clear?".
Instructions are hardly adequate in respect to illustration. There are a few stickers that need to be placed on the unit that are hard to distinguish between on the instructions pictures.
I rated this at two stars because the unit wasted a good 2+ hrs of my time. Sure, I can RMA and get my money back but what about my time?
Zalman, please disclose the restrictions on your units before someone needs to find out the hard way. I won't be doing business with you in the future because you already owe me.
Other Thoughts: I think this unit would have been great had I actually been able to use it.
This unit requires pulling off part of the CPU retention support, don't buy it unless you want to tear apart your mobo.
I'm off to buy a liquid system now.
Pros: Not DoA. Seems to run fast.
Cons: None.READ FULL REVIEW
