Most Favorable Review

I like it and the image is clear

TP-LINK TL-SC3130G 640 x 480 MAX Resolution RJ45 Wireless 2-Way Audio Surveillance Camera
TP-LINK TL-SC3130G 640 x 480 MAX Resolution RJ45 Wireless 2-Way Audio Surveillance Camera

Pros: I have dlink wired webcams before so I have some experience with web cameras. They straight forward to setup. I used the wired network connection to setup the wireless passwords etc. and they worked as expected when I went wireless at the deployment location. I like the image quality over our current webcams but they are 3 years newer in technology.

Cons: I contacted tech support about turning off the audio in setup. Currently the viewer has the option of listening to the mic on the camera or not. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of. If you go directly to the camera you have to authenticate with one of the accounts you can create and there are a lot of slots for accounts. Not worth subtracting an egg as if you use rtsp you can avoid the password issue and the audio issue.

Overall Review: It does have a zoom feature that is interesting if you access the camera directly. At this point I am recommending we purchase more. If you need an external speaker if you want to remotely talk through the camera.

It is what it is!

Tekkeon TekCharge Mobile Power & Battery Charger Black (MP1550)
Tekkeon TekCharge Mobile Power & Battery Charger Black (MP1550)

Pros: Uses 4 AA batteries you can get anywhere. Inexpensive. It charges my iPhone 3gs.

Cons: I don't use it for a battery charger. You need to use strong (fresh) batteries if you have an iPhone.

Overall Review: This is my second unit as the company replaced my first unit after it would not charge batteries (which is why I think it failed). So I have had one for about 2 years. On the replacement Tekkeon sent me, I only discharge from AA batteries. I use my iPhone as a GPS for the golf course and it will drain the iPhone 1/2 way through a round, then I plug in the MP1550 and at the end of the round the iPhone is between 60-100% charged. I would not ever use this unit to charge batteries. It does what I need it to do. My next step is to buy rechargable batteries, charge them in my separate charger, then put them in the 1550.
