This review is from: BUFFALO AirStation Extreme AC 1750 Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Router - WZR-1750DHP
Pros: Range is above average
Supports gigabit + ac
Attractive price (with promo)
Solid (after the firmware upgrade)
Cons: Inconsistent download rate at high speed with Wireless N (35Mbps FIOS)
Other Thoughts: *I haven't tried with AC adapters so I have no opinions towards them.
I bought these because they were on heavy discount + Eggxpert reviews were amazing.
It connects well with good speeds overall. But whenever I tried to download large files over Wireless N, speed varied and it took few minutes until the speed was stabilized again.
Range is above average but not the best I've seen.
I never had this problem with brand name, high end Wireless N router I used to own.
Pros: Super quiet. Overclocks well with good setup. Fast.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I have Antec Lanboy Air Yellow so obviously it cools down my video card very well.
I'm very sensitive about noise and my ears; my profession depends on it. When I first purchased other brand's 670 I loved the speed but couldn't stand the noise its making. So I decided to sell it and get this one while it was on sale on newegg.
With basic setup I got about 47 FPS on Guild Wars 2 with everything max + avsync. So I decided to push it further using Asus GPU Tweak utility for 1100/7000 setting. Now I get 57~60 FPS on GW2.
All this could be done with whole lot less noise than my previous 670. Same performance; less (virtually none) noise.
I read about flashing BIOS to TOP version but I wouldn't risk it for at least next couple of years, as my current settings run every games that I play around at 60FPS.
Whatever configurations you want, this PSU will deliver.
Other Thoughts: My first modular PSU. So many cables and ports it made me smile. Best casing I've ever seen for a PSU. Cool accessories.
I'm using it with CyberPower UPS system which is Active PFC compatible. It's been working well since then!
