This review is from: MSI AM1I AM1 2 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Mini ITX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Runs great. Price. Build quality meets the expectation.
Cons: When wake-up from sleep, PCIe video card does not wake up. To use the wake-up function, you have to use the APU video, directly from motherboard.
Other Thoughts: I have two separate video cards, both Radeon HD series. They worked just fine with my previous HTPC build. But with MSI AM1I, they just would not wake up once enter sleep/hibernation mode.
I contacted MSI support and they told me that it was the video card's fault. My final reply was on 02/23. Since then I never heard back from MSI ever again (today is 03/16).
This review is from: BUFFALO DriveStation 4TB USB 3.0 External Desktop Hard Drive HD-LC4.0U3
Pros: Fast. Quite.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I'm using this drive as NAS using my router. My router only supports XFS instead of NTFS so I was worried first, but this drive worked flawlessly. I'm sure this drive will just fine with WIndows supported file system.
I'm also sensitive to noise but this unit didn't was quieter than usual internal HDD which is INSIDE of my PC. Awesome!
This review is from: BUFFALO AirStation Extreme AC 1750 Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Router - WZR-1750DHP
Pros: Range is above average
Supports gigabit + ac
Attractive price (with promo)
Solid (after the firmware upgrade)
Cons: Inconsistent download rate at high speed with Wireless N (35Mbps FIOS)
Other Thoughts: *I haven't tried with AC adapters so I have no opinions towards them.
I bought these because they were on heavy discount + Eggxpert reviews were amazing.
It connects well with good speeds overall. But whenever I tried to download large files over Wireless N, speed varied and it took few minutes until the speed was stabilized again.
Range is above average but not the best I've seen.
I never had this problem with brand name, high end Wireless N router I used to own.
