-bass never sounds boomy w/ 80hz xover
Cons: -Size for WAF.
-no original wall mounting options
-grills are unattractive but effective
Other Thoughts: I was looking for an upgrade to my Jamo S426HCS surround system and bought these as part of a 5.0 Andrew Jones setup. What can I say it was a vast improvement. Ironically with these located in the corners they became the flattest even compared to the towers down to 65hz which allowed me to use THX recommended 80hz crossover. Bass is much more abundant than the Jamo surrounds and smoother than the Jamo towers.
These do take ALOT of power. My average volume on my Yamaha v373 receiver was 38 in the past. It has to be at 32 to get the same dB output with my calibrated mic. This difference in volume is significant. It is still well worth it.
