Pros: Great price
Doubled download speed as a repeater.
So small it is invisible.

Cons: Does not seem to recognize devices other than computers and tablets. Can't access wireless printer.

Other Thoughts: Can't beat the price. Set up was easy. I'm using it as a extender in the family room which is the opposite end of the house from the router. Tested download speeds with and without. With the extender, download speeds more than doubled.

ZyXEL Powerline AV 500 Mbps 4 Port Gigabit Switch Wall-plug Adapter with PLA4205 Powerline AV 500Mbps (PLA4225KIT)
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

Pros: Easy set-up. Got 100 Mbps download speeds no problem. (Didn't get nor expect 500 mbps). Able to stream 1080 HD from Vudu on Samsung Smart TV without a hitch. Wireless N was always hit or miss.

Cons: The only con is that the Ethernet cables that came with kit are really short -- less than three feet. Worked okay for the hookup to my HDTV, but had to buy a longer cable for the hookup to the router.

Other Thoughts: Got the 4 port cause it was only five bucks more than single port kit. Will hook it up to Blu-ray next and still have capacity for media player when/if I make that purchase.
