This review is from: CineRAID CR-H252B Dual 3.5 Bay Quiet USB 3.0 RAID Enclosure (No Drives)
Pros: Goes on sale frequently. This product is a solid bargain, but when it goes on sale, it is cheap. With the limited exposure I have had, I have found this product line to be reliable. I like that inserting the drives into the cage does not require tools. Supports 3TB Drives.
Cons: None as yet
Other Thoughts: My first CineRaid device was the 4 bay CR-H458. I have had that for about 18 months. I have it attached to my server, and use it in JBOD mode for backups. I have had absolutely no problem with it.
This experience gave me the confidence to purchase a CR-H252B. I have not used it for very long, but so far so good. I am using it with 2 Toshiba 3TB drives, also purchased from Newegg. I like the CR-H252B enough that I have just ordered 2 more. I intend to attach one to my Windows 7 Media Center PC.
I will mention that I have only used these devices in JBOD mode. I simply alternate my backups between the drives. I may try the RAID with my Media Center PC.
This review is from: MSI Digi@nywhere A/D Plus TV Tuner Card
Pros: Easy install.
It has an option to install driver only.
FM Tuner gets all the stations I expect to receive in my area.
FM Tuner works in Windows Media Center (Windows 7)
Other Thoughts: I have 2 HD Homeruns that provide my tuners
Installed the drivers only, because I only wanted the device for the FM tuner.
I have purchased 2 of these now. One for the living room HTPC and one for the bedroom HTPC. Both pickup the radio stations I expect.
A better antenna does allow me to get more stations than I get with the provided antenna.
Purchased both during rebate offers. Very good value after adding in the rebate.
I have no opinion on the tuners. I will say that the tuner is detected within WMC. I do not know if they work!
