Awesome Monitor

ViewSonic V3D245 Black 23.6" HDMI LED Backlight Widescreen LCD 120Hz 3D Monitor 300 cd/m2 20,000,000:1 w/ Speakers & 3D glasses
ViewSonic V3D245 Black 23.6" HDMI LED Backlight Widescreen LCD 120Hz 3D Monitor 300 cd/m2 20,000,000:1 w/ Speakers & 3D glasses

Pros: Works great. Excellent picture quality. Nuff said.

Cons: -I had an issue where one half of the monitor became slightly darker than the other half (literally split right down the middle). Unplugging the monitor and allowing the capacitors to drain resolved the issue. -Speakers are garbage. Don't buy this monitor thinking that you don't need to purchase stand alone speakers. Taking an egg off for this. -For this price I would expect the monitor to support display port.

Overall Review: This monitor turns on and off automatically when the computer is started or shutdown. Most of the time this means that the start up screen is not displayed. Not really an issue but it can be an inconvenience at times.

Great Power Supply though see Cons

Seasonic PRIME 1300W 80+ Platinum Power Supply, Full Modular, 135mm FDB Fan w/Hybrid Fan Control, ATX12V & EPS12V, Power On Self Tester, 12 yr Warranty, SSR-1300PD

Pros: Looks great and looks like a quality product.

Cons: Under sustained moderate to heavy use (GPU Folding with 2x 2080 Ti's) my first unit lasted just north of 10 months, I now have 2 more units that have been running for several months. Not that the GPU's where folding 100% of the time, let's say 80% of the time during that period. The Power Supply is rated as a 1300w power supply though I wasn't pushing anywhere near that, typical power draw was in the 700-800 watt range maybe peaking to 850 watts at times. Well under the 1300 watt capacity. As the unit performed for a time and worked as advertised I don't believe this to have been a factory defect and more likely the result of an under engineered component designed for what SeaSonic deems a typical use case scenario (cough gaming cough ... or a bit of load here and there). I'm concerned I'll see similar behavior from my current 2 units though only time will tell. If I see the same behavior I'll be relinquishing my loyalty to SeaSonic and going elsewhere, I'm looking at you EVGA. Quite frankly I'd expect a high end Power Supply like this to be designed for load situations given the amount of money one needs to shell out for one of these units. The disappointing thing is I have custom cables and if I move away from SeaSonic the custom cables are no good. So Cables ... that leads me to the other thing about this Power Supply I don't like. I really hate the GPU power cables. Other cables I'm reasonably happy with.

Overall Review: Works great when it works. I'm concerned that the power supply has an under engineered component that would lead to failure under sustained load use cases. Given the amount of money one has to pay for this Power Supply I find that unacceptable. Also the GPU power cables could be better.

Love it!!!

ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED

Pros: This cooler was a breeze to install on the x79 platform. Comes with a back plate pre-installed. I watched some video reviews and in those the fan sounded loud. After installing mine and booting up my system I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet the fan sounded. Other pros: -Can install high profile memory with this cooler. -Not as heavy as some of the other coolers on the market meaning less strain on the motherboard :). -Comes with the tools needed to install it. -Comes with awesome thermal compound.

Cons: NONE

Overall Review: I would recommend going with a bigger cooler if installing an extreme edition CPU or if you are planning to heavily overclock. Installed this with a Core i7 3820.

1ST PC CORP. CB-8M-8F 1 ft. 8-pin EPS Extension Cable
1ST PC CORP. CB-8M-8F 1 ft. 8-pin EPS Extension Cable

Pros: Before buying this I was reading the reviews and some of them talked about poor sleeve cover. I was starting to lean towards buying a non sleeved version to save a few dollars. In the end I decided to buy this one and am very happy I did. I was very happy with the quality of the sleeve cover on mine and the cable works as it is supposed to.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Works well.

Love it

Pros: Feels very durable and feel confident it will survive any unintentional accidents although I am not very accident prone. The drive is also FAST.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: If you're looking for a fast, high quality drive, I recommend this one.

Awesome Case

LIAN LI PC-A77F Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
LIAN LI PC-A77F Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Build quality -Looks amazing -Awesome cooling, good quiet stock fans -power supply mounting system and expansion slot locking mechanisms work very well and are extremely secure. Note: The fan power cables of all 5 LED fans are long enough to reach the fan controller. I just had to rotate the bottommost fan on the front and the back top 140mm fan 180 degrees. After that the cables will reach with no problems. Side panel window can be purchased from Frozen CPU.

Cons: -Cable management is tricky. -Need to use screw driver to tighten too less screws as it is not possible to get them tight enough just using hands. -Recommend using additional screws to secure 5.25 drives as tool less locking mechanisms don't secure the driver very well.

Overall Review: Recommend spending some time looking around for good deals on this case. I was able to purchase it for $270 but it can be found for even lower if you live in certain areas.
