This review is from: CORSAIR 1GB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Laptop Memory Model VS1GSDS333
Pros: Corsair name brand, 1GB, cheap, installed easily, recognized promptly, improved performance of machine after installing.
Cons: Would have preferred XMS, having to deal with a rebate from the location I bought it. Nothing beyond that so far, working decently well (still not enough to give it a perfect score though).
Other Thoughts: Used it to replace a 256MB memory stick in my 5 year old Dell Inspiron 300m. Works like a dream. This one does not always come up on compatibility searches, but the specs 100% match what Dell sells for an upgrade to the 300m's memory.
(NOTE: if you have the 300m it only has one user accessible slot and it can only accept up to a max of 1GB. There are details in the 300m's manual about this)
Was an easy install and I am seeing noticeable improvement. It's still not perfect, but I would have to be replacing my processor for that as well.
This review is from: Cyber Acoustics CA3090WB 7 Watts total RMS 2.1 Black Gaming Speaker
Pros: Great loud sound. Cheap. Not bad looking. Serves their purpose.
Cons: Personal gripe, but I hate having a subwoofer. Had to go into the control panel advanced audio settings to get full sound (which was more a fault on my computer's end). Can be too loud sometimes, but I do have them in an apartment/town house right now with rather thin walls.
Other Thoughts: I bought these at another location in-store on sale because I needed cheap speakers as I was tired of using headphones just to hear basic noises from my new desktop (and was too impatient to wait for any more items for my computer to be shipped).
When I first started using them some sounds were VERY quiet. I played around with settings after awhile and it was a setting for left and right speakers in the audio advanced settings via the control panel (not the volume control) that was set to only 10%. Put each to 100% and sound is phenomenal for basic speakers. Very pleased.
If you have these and are getting low sound PLEASE check your settings first.
Pros: Sleek design (I love the choice of face plates). Easy install. Has not burned any coasters since I got it. Was able to use the pearl tray cover that comes standard with the white face plate with the black face plate. It looks gorgeous and blends into my case so nicely. Works with Vista64.
Cons: Was a little difficult to replace the face plate. Not too thrilled with the bundled burn software, but I wasn't too surprised it wasn't quite what I wanted. But it does enough functions to be useable, just not everything I'd like it to do.
Other Thoughts: I'm very pleased with this drive. I've also owned an external version of this (slightly slower burn rate) and it still works perfectly well as well and I had that for almost two years. It does its job and will probably buy a second internal one at some point to add to my case.READ FULL REVIEW
