NETGEAR WNDR3800-100NAR N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router - Premium Edition Manufacturer Recertified IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Looked exactly like a new WNDR3800 shipped in a plain Netgear box.
Not a scratch or even a finger print upon opening.
Feature Packed.
Surprisingly, the single USB port supports USB Hub's - External Drives & USB Printer.
Easy to set up ReadySHARE Cloud, FTP, & HTTP internet access. Wireless Adapter reads 300Mbps on both bands.
The exclusive Clear Channel Selector worth the price of admission alone. Can detect 15 wireless 2.4 access points nearby. Everyone is dog-piling on channels 1, 6, 11; leave the WNDR3800 on Auto & my clearest channels are 4 & 44.
Runs cool in the low profile horizontal position. Stand up for more range.
Spouse approved style for Home Theater living room which includes ROKU LT, PlayStation, Internet Radio Onkyo AVR, and Alienware X51 gaming-HTPC. Laptops in the bedrooms, Kindle Fire HD, and Obihai VoIP - all is good.

Solid performance - no drops or resets since installation.
Now have access to my library of several hundred GB's of music & videos on anything with internet. Nice.

Cons: Doesn't make waffles in the morning.

Other Thoughts: Used with two TRENDnet 450 Mbps Dual Band Wireless N USB Adapter's (TEW-684UB) Good wireless N 2.4 & 5.0 throughput.

DELL Desktop PC Alienware X51 (AX5111490518SA) Intel Core i7 2600 (3.40GHz) 8GB 1TB HDD Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Refurbished - No scratches. Some finger prints. Otherwise perfect.

A great 'Steam' machine.
Was surprised to find a Alienware TactX Keyboard included (YMMV).
UEFI Boot with Alienware diagnostic PSA utility - a Pre-boot System Assessment installed in the computer’s BIOS chip.
3 SATA II ports which allowed me to easily mount a Samsung SSD on top of the DVD housing with a SATA Y cable adapter for the OS leaving the stock 1TB HDD for data.
Small form factor that is equally stylish either sitting horizonal or vertical.
Lying horizonal is perfect for the living room Home Theatre.
Excellent HTPC surround sound through Onkyo AVR and Turtle Beach HPA2's.
Ready for the new energy efficience Kepler video cards.
Comes with Alienware OS disc.
Great driver support.
DL AlienAutopsy Software.

Cons: 16GB memory limit.
