This review is from: HighPoint RocketRAID 2314 PCI-Express x4 SATA II (3.0Gb/s) RAID Controller Card
Pros: Card is fast and is hardware RAID
Cons: I can confirm this card is flawed and does not recover to a spare when a RAID 5 array fails. I have come back from business trips now twice in the last year to find my entire 6TB wiped out by drive failures due to failed attempts to rebuild to (on the 2nd go around) new spare drive configured correctly.
It is expensive for what it delivers.
The management software is poor and looks as if it was designed in the DOS Win95 era.
Other Thoughts: Do not buy this card or any card from this company.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Its 24", 2ms, picture is above your average value monitors. Very good gamer monitor.
Cons: First one had a bright green stuck pixel, RMA'd it got the new one and it has two lighter green stuck pixel's. They are not bad enough to pay for another RMA but I dont think I would recommend this monitor. Ive bought 5-6 LCD's from Samsung and Viewsonic in the past without ever having this problem. Ill probably go back to Samsung.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: These are the best internal hard drives on the market for the money. Quiet, fast (4.3ms access time) and reliable. I own one of these four of the 1TB a few 500's and several 300's. Many have been constantly reading and writing for 3-4yrs. Any problem inside 5yrs return for a new one.
Cons: Remember to remove the jumper to make this 3.0 instead of 1.5 if you have the 3.0 SATA ports. I didnt figure this out for years, rather irritated about that but happy now that I know.
Other Thoughts: Seagate Disc Wizard software can be downloaded free from their site to copy older drives to new ones including your system drive and different size drives seamlessly.
Nobody does it better than Seagate right now.
