Cons: Would be great if it could charge the host device, but I don't think that is what it was designed for. See below.
Other Thoughts: I haven't received this product yet so this is just speculation on my part. My impression is that the USB power is to power the USB A device, for example an external HD that requires more power than is supplied from the device's USB micro port. Many comments complain that the power doesn't charge the hosting device. I am pretty sure that is not it's intention, but rather to power the connected peripheral. If someone knows of such a cable designed to power the host device while another USB accessory is connected, please post.
