XFX Radeon R9 380X R9-380X-4255 4GB 256-Bit DDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support DD XXX OC Video Card

Pros: I'm playing Ark on medium to high settings. Comparing that to Nvidia's 980ti at epic with the same framerate makes this card exactly what I asked for. A very decent mid-range card. I was not disappointed with the quality of the card.

Cons: Nearly nocked of an egg for the terrible software that is catalyst. After coming over from nvidia and using geforce experience, I didn't realize how deeply I was spoiled. I'm finding the catalyst control center to not be very intuitive.

Make sure you have two pci express power cords in the back of your PSU. Otherwise, you're going to be deeply disapointed. I got lucky.

Other Thoughts: No backplate. So what. Who the heck really needs a backplate. Plug in your PCi power cord and get on with life. If you're looking for a fair priced mid-range card and are tired of paying the nvidia "I'm so awesome" tax. Look no further. I'm happy as a clam with it.

Dell U2415 Black 24.1

Pros: This has nearly every connector including USB. IT DOES NOT HAVE DVI. The screen is big at 1200. Still a 1080 movie and game fit fine in letterbox. The text on this monitor was very sharp and clear. Easy on my programming eyes. Ignore the people talking about the non-intuitive controls. Best controls I've played with in a long time. My terminal sessions all looked fantastic.

Cons: It just wasn't bright enough and the colors were washed out and not vivid. I tried playing with the controls to brighten it up and also make the colors come in brighter. It just didn't happen. I was really excited about this monitor. It carried a good brand name. The price was competitive and I really wanted the extra room. However, a comparable asus monitor side by side had much better color depth.

A good choice for people that just need to read text and/or program. Solid business monitor.

Other Thoughts: This did not meet my needs as a gamer, youtuber, and movie watcher. This did meet my business needs of programming, reading help manuals and displaying terminals.

BlueAnt Over-The-Ear Rugged Bluetooth Headset w/ Wind Noise Reduction / Multipoint / Wind and Echo Cancellation / Embedded Interactive Audio Help (T1)

Pros: The noise reduction on this is real. Very innovative design and very comfortable to wear. People are reporting they can hear me fine in noisy and also windy conditions. The battery life on this is very acceptable, if not excellent. It is fun being able to issue a voice command for battery life. Pairing this phone is very simple. A worry free headset.

Cons: I wish it would interface with my phone better and unlock the phone through voice commands. I still find myself having to touch the phone to make outgoing phone calls. Especially if the phone is locked. I have the samsung SIII.

Other Thoughts: I can't really find a use for the free app. Other than it voices sms (cool). The other thing the app does is remind me what my voice commands are. That's nifty. I also wish it came with a clip of some kind for my shirt.
