MSI Z77A-G41 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Cheap at $59 after $20 rebate.

Cons: Memory support only up to 2133 but 2800. USB 3.0 does not work.

Other Thoughts: All USB 3.0 ports don't work even controller is up. I have updated BIOS from 2.8 to the latest 2.12 and reinstalled Intel USB 3.0 bus driver from MSI website but no luck. In addition, This mobo does not recognize memory DDR3 2400 and always crashes so 2400 memory only stays at 2133 even MSI claims it supports up to 2800.

The worst is that I need to pay $13 for RMA shipping to get replacement for this defect item. Newegg seems to have its policy changed for defect product replacement. Everyone should be aware of this.
