This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Loads of really nice options, and features for a entry level 990fx Board. Nicely laid out slots, very rugged looking board
Would make a good back up beeper for a truck ;)
Cons: Not a great over clocker, unimpressive bios.
Other Thoughts: Well All I could do with this is make it go Beep beep beep beep. Tried everything, New Power supply, new ram, another known good Video card. Unplugged everything non essential for a post. Tried to post in case out of case, took the battery out over night, tried to post with one ram stick in all four slots. Reseated CPU (8350)No sir beep beep beep. That's usually a power issue but two new psu's
each rated at 750w ruled that out.
It had to happen sometime, after 20 years fixing and repairing PC's I got my FIRST DOA Gigabyte board, I've seen 10 year old abused gigabyte boards die but never a new one. Started looking into it and I'm finding lots of folks are having issues with the 990fx line from gigabyte. As are all the 990fx boards, doesn't seem to be one bullet prove 990fx out there.
Newegg was great took the board back no hassles and sent me a prepaid shipping label to boot !!!!! Thanks!!!
I looked hard at the ud5, but loads of folks again having issues... Killed me but I went with the new gen3 sabertooth, more than I wanted to spend but I think I'm
going to give Gigabyte some time to get their product tweaked, there current 990fx line appears to be somewhat weak. No worries I'll look hard at gigabyte again next time.
Hard to believe but I really had a hard time finding something to replace my 970A-ud3 GREAT Board, only reason in replacing it was I was out of pci-e slots.
Pros: Fast phone, nice display, Querty Keyboard
Cons: Very Difficult to connect to hidden ssid's, Died after two months
Other Thoughts: The Phone itself is very nice when it worked, it did not relock for me. But its started shutting down by itself and I had to remove the battery to get it to start again, in 3-5 minutes it would shut down again. Re formatted the phone and it worked as it should for two days, boom vertical lines across the screen and then it would slowly go black. Remove the Battery and it would get to the splash screen, get vertical lines and the display would fade to black.
Contacted Samsung and they basically told me to jump off a cliff. All Samsung products sold online WILL HAVE THERE WARRENTY VOIDED. This Lead me back to Newegg an the extended warranty I bought.
The Phone is on its way back to newegg, under the extended warranty. If you decide to buy a Samsung product, online get and extended warranty from the seller, Samsung will throw you to the Wolves is you utter Online to them...
