This review is from: MSI B85I LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI 4 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Just what I was looking for, price was right. Fired right up, no issues. Using a LB-Link wireless usb adapter which I already had.
Mated with Haswell i-3 4130 shoehorned into a Rosewill RS-MI-01 BK Mini ITX Tower/ Desktop case. Everything fits nicely. I'm not using optical drives with this.
Cons: No Cons.
Other Thoughts: Hardest part of the build was getting my W7 Pro installed without CD. Can't ding anyone on that but myself. Using Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool will save you time. Also need a flash drive that will work with said tool.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Price, $45 with power supply, how can you go wrong.
I'm using this with a i3-4130 Haswell with stock cooling fan. Had to nudge up the power supply slightly to get mobo and cpu under it, but it fits in there nicely.
Also using MSI B85I which I'm also impressed with, zero issue with it as well.
All metal construction, very solid. I'm not using any optical drives, wish Rosewill would offer a non-bay version of this as it would easily chop another 2-3 inches off the front of this thing.
Really like the side mounted hard drive slot.
Cons: No Cons
Other Thoughts: Using this for the kids room for web based games and streaming medi, netflix, a-mazon and hulu (we don't have cable). Haswell on-board video is more than adequate.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Swiss army knife of computing. Great device for listening to mp3s, able to stream videos from my whs Server. App market is still maturing, still plenty of apps out there to make this a very useful tool. Apple vs Android apps is way overhyped. Most apple apps are pure garbage. In regard to apps that matter, both devices are near equal with slight edge going to apple.
Will easily replace your day planner.
Cons: Really wanted to give this device 5 stars but couldn't. Netflix and Skype are still no shows. SD slot still doesn't work. Typing lag with bt /USB keyboard present on half the forums I participate in.
Limited video controls when hooking up to external monitor. Would be nice if u had the option to turn screen off on the xoom when connected to external monitor. Also would like to push 1080p instead of defaulting to 720.
I know these are mostly Google/nvidia issues, but moto should have the power to motivate these guys to fix some of these issues.
Other Thoughts: Whatever tab u go with, join a forum for the latest and greatest info and help. One thing that separates apple from Android is the excellent android community.
All this was written on my xoom!
