Looks like winner!

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6570 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card ( 100323L )
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6570 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card ( 100323L )

Pros: Low profile (came with brackets, which I did not need), single slot design. I have had some beefy video cards over the years, and this thing is TINY. It should fit in just about any PC with a pci-e slot. Seems to have pretty amazing performance (relatively speaking, of course) for the power it draws. Even though this cost a little more, I bought in over a cheaper 4xxx or 5xxx card since it has all the latest tech, as well as a higher performance/power usage ratio. Sapphire has always been my vendor of choice and it looks like they have done it again!

Cons: Who doesn't want more performance for less money? I would like to see this more in the $50-$60 range, but it will be there in due time... ...but will it play Crysis? eh...probably not too well.

Overall Review: I just installed this in an inexpensive HP Pavilion p6802 that I purchased for my aunt. It has pretty basic specs: AMD Athlon II 270 Dual-Core Processor (3.40GHz, 2MB L2 cache), 750GB hard drive, and 4GB system memory (1 x 4GB stick). She wanted the PC to be able to handle some modest games for her grandson, so I figured discrete graphics were a must. My big concern was the 250 watt PSU that came in the HP machine. I first tested it with an HD 4670 512 MB card out of my kid's machine. It ran stable for multiple runs through 3DMark06. Still concerned for the power usage, I opted for this HD 6570 as a better long-term choice. Installed with no hiccups. It also handled multiple runs through 3DMark06. Results? HD 4670: 7888 3DMarks HD 6570: 8035 3DMarks Mind you this is installed in a VERY modest prebuilt. More performance and far less power consumption? For a cheap gamer or HTPC, I don't see how you can go wrong.

Most Critical Review

Seems to function....however...

Logitech 980186-0403 Silver USB Connector USB Desktop Microphone
Logitech 980186-0403 Silver USB Connector USB Desktop Microphone

Pros: Sound quality seems ok. People can hear me fine when playing games on Steam. That is the main reason I bought this mic.

Cons: The ball and socket joint that allows the mic to adjust is a piece of junk. It is so lose that anything 20 degrees or more past vertical lets the mic just fall flat to the desk. I read many good reviews and this is very dissapointing. Minus 3 eggs for poor design.

Overall Review: I have many, many logitech products over the years, and their stuff is ususally top-notch and at a good price. This one is not worth the time or expense to RMA and pay for return shipping. Beware. Looks like I will need to find a position I am happy with and super glue it into place. Real classy, and will certainly make storing it annoying when not in use.

Far better than expected

HP Compaq Desktop PC DC7900 Intel Penium E5200 2.5GHz 2GB 80GB HDD Windows 7 Home Premium
HP Compaq Desktop PC DC7900 Intel Penium E5200 2.5GHz 2GB 80GB HDD Windows 7 Home Premium

Pros: Free upgrade to E5300 processor. Interior very clean. Two extra slots available for additional DDR2 memory. Quick shipping

Cons: Mouse and keyboard are generic junk...but that was to be expected. Some scratches on the exterior case...also to be expected.

Overall Review: If it were not for some minor blemishes on the exterior of the case, the inside of this PC was extremely clean and could have passed for brand new. Mine also came with the slightly faster E5300 CPU. Nice bonus there. I ran it through the expected 150+/- Windows updates with no issues. I added 2 x 512mb of outdated Patriot DDR-800 memory that I had lying around for a total of 3GB. It runs like a champ. This is for an older relative with an outdated Celeron E-Machine Windows XP piece of garbage. For $100, the old PC is being salvaged and trashed...I mean recycled. I added in a low-profile HD4350 GPU (also from my parts bin) which bumped the Windows Experience score for 3D Graphics/Gaming from 3.5 to 5.8! This PC is for someone with basic internet/email needs. With that in mind, it is absolutely perfect considering it only cost me $100 plus adding in some outdated parts. Highly recommended.

A little workhorse

Canon PIXMA iP100 Color Inkjet Printer
Canon PIXMA iP100 Color Inkjet Printer

Pros: Small and reliable.

Cons: The paper tray breaks easily with my laptop slides off the vehicle seat and crashes into it at high speed.

Overall Review: I have been keeping one of these on the filthy floor of my work truck for over a year. I use it to print invoices in the field and it never lets me down. Aftermarket ink cartridges can be bought for cheap on the internet. That is important if you go through a lot of ink.

Runs like a champ in my Gateway

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity 100282-3SR
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity 100282-3SR

Pros: Easy to install. Loaded drivers from the included disc with no problems. Makes it possible to crank up the graphics on every game I have tried thus far. Finally I can run Crysis on max settings with 2X AA and 8X AF and get very playable frame rates. Man, that game looks incredible with the graphics boosted. I have been wanting a 5850 card since they came out...glad I waited until this card dropped in price to $180! Seems to work fine with my stock piece of junk 500W generic PSU.

Cons: Dumps most of the hot air back into my already under-ventilated case. Also, it is HUGE at 11+ inches long! I was worried it would not fit into my case but it fit with no issues. Looks like this sku was also discontinued right after I received my card. :(

Overall Review: Without breaking the bank, I wanted to upgrade from the HD 4850 that came stock with my Gateway FX6800-01e box. I was worried that my feeble stock PSU would not handle this card, but so far it is working great. To complete the upgrade, I also purchased a Corsair 650W PSU, which I have not installed yet. I am not going to attempt any overclocking until I dump in the new PSU. My 3DMark 06 scores increased from around 12500 with the HD 4850 to just under 16000 with the HD 5850. I was expecting a bit more, but I am pretty sure it is being restricted a bit by the stock 2.66 GHz speed on my i7-920, as well as the relatively slow PC8500 DDR3 1066MHz memory (6GB installed) that Gateway saw fit to put into this PC. ATI really hit the sweet spot with this card and Sapphire is always my brand of choice! I imagine this card will keep me fragging for a long time to come.

Worked fine...for a while

Western Digital WD Green WD5000AADS 500GB 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Came in a CyberpowerPC prebuild I bought here on NewEgg. Worked well for a while. Makes a good door stop now.

Cons: Started system instability slowly, then completely died after about 9 months of fairly light use. Since it is my son's, naurally nothing backed up. Say bye-bye to all the data. I look forward to hours of reloading everything.

Overall Review: Ususally WD is my brand of choice, so I was initally happy that this system came with one. Can't wait for my warranty replacement unit. Let's see if this one lasts.
