Linksys WRT54GL 802.11b/g Wireless Broadband Router up to 54 Mbps/ Compatible with Open Source DD-WRT (not pre-load)
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Worked well, I have been happy with them when they worked. I have had several of these through the years.

Cons: Their tech support was awful, and they told me that my "complimentary support" was expired, so they couldn't help me. Somehow my hardware warranty was still valid, but they would not issue me an RMA until they verified that the router was bad. Get the idea?

Other Thoughts: Linksys is not the company it once was. Shop elsewhere!

5 out of 5 eggs LED Bulbs 11/19/2012

This review is from: Collection LED A19 5W 30 Watt Replacement, Warm White

Pros: Very nice alternative to the CFL bulbs we have been using.
These were in the 3000K range, and the light quality was very nice.
The design also has an attractive aluminum trim (for heat dissipation I would guess)
No flickering, instant-on, and no aversion to colder temps (all downsides to CFL bulbs)
And they use half the power, and no hazardous materials to dispose of!

Cons: The light from LED's (at least this frequency) seems to dissipate more than traditional incandescent or CFL bulbs. Maybe the higher frequency bulbs have less of an issue.
The only potential problems I have seen would be installing them in a high location, then the dissipating light could be an issue.

Other Thoughts: I should have bought a few more of these. I will be watching for the 5000K bulbs, now I want to try a few of them!
