This review is from: Cisco Small Business 200 Series SLM2048T-NA Smart SG200-50 Gigabit Switch
Pros: An unmanaged switch that is straightforward and easy to administer
Cons: In the RMA process for the second time, about to receive the third one. This unit is being used in a building with frequent power failures, but with power to the unit regulated by a UPS. It seems after being switched off/on a few times the unit doesn't fully boot anymore. Fans turn on but not the interfaces. Same behavior both times after about a dozen powerdowns. Other equipment (router and some servers) in the same building function fine after the powerdowns. It seems resiliance is not a feature of this switch.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Running this in a small form factor computer with the low-profile bracket. Using HDMI with a powered splitter to my monitor and 50" television.
I had a spare bay next to my video card so the second low-profile bracket for the VGA port was a nice convenience.
Movies play great with this, and it does send sound over HDMI as advertised with minimal setup required. I'm not a big gamer but the few I have tried at 720p have run with moderately high settings with good fps.
Cons: I wish it came in a form with 2 HDMI ports - I would gladly give up the DVI-out for a 2nd HDMI-out.
Other Thoughts: Performance has been surprisingly good for the price.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Was a fast drive for my laptop.
Cons: Died after three months in the laptop. Writes to the drive began to fail. Chkdsk's revealed more bad sectors on each pass. Western Digital's diagnostic program was unable to format or low-level format the drive, citing errors it could not repair.
Other Thoughts: Drive seemed to run very hot. Perhaps the laptop did not have adequate cooling. I won't be modding a laptop for the sake of a hard drive. Hopefully the replacement from Western Digital lasts longer.READ FULL REVIEW
