Pros: Looks Good
Cons: Its a paperweight. Never could get it to power on.
Other Thoughts: Would have been perfect had it worked. RMA, here it comes. Perhaps the 2nd unit will work.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Easy Set up, working well. Really like the included software. Never really wanted to mess around with overclocking but the software does it for you. Just insert the disk and the software analyzes the system and sets up everything. Sweet. Cold boot to internet in 15 seconds with an A6 AMD, 4 gigs of 1600 Ram, and SSD. Built this as a gift to in-laws. they are going to love it.
Cons: No light on Motherboard to tell it if is turned onREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great board - Inital build went flawlessly right up until I installed the AI tool on the disc. ASUS has an option to update the BIOS while in windows. I am thinking, what the heck, a newer bios from Dec. 2012 is able so I let it do its thing.
Cons: You probably already know the rest of the story....System locked up for over an hour, upon restart, it fails to boot. I called CS and the tech walked me through several items before we determined that the BIOs chip is fried.
Other Thoughts: NEVER use the utility to flash BIOS. I should have known better. Now I have the choice of sending the board back and waiting 2 to 3 weeks or paying for a $15 chip. Since I am the one to press the button (LOL), I guess I will have to order the chip. Unfortunately the ASUS web site doesn't list this particular model board under the M5 series BIOs chips. Waiting to call the store to verify the correct part.....
