Pros: can power anything you throw at it and is super quiet runs much cooler then the corsair hx1000 it replaced with great ripple and more over clocking stability.
currently running a i7 930 system overclocked to 4.4GHz on a EVGA classified 760 motherboard with tri-sli 3 way EVGA gtx 470 and full water cooling loop with plenty of amps and watts to spare.
has enough power left to run 4 way sli with gtx 470's overclocked.
Cons: rebates, rebates, rebates! waiting for about half a year now and my rebate was approved on their rebate site over 2 months ago and it still has not been mailed to me.
Other Thoughts: this is a great PSU for high end systems no issues with EVGA boards as some have claimed.
if I ever have to rma this i hope I get it back much faster then this rebate is taking.
so far if you buy this buy it with the knowledge that you most likely will not get a MIR / rebate back!
is it worth what I paid? yes is there other PSU out there that i would of bought if I knew I would not get my rebate? yes, very much so!
-1 egg for no rebate even being mailed half a year later
Pros: was very easy to transfer my system image from my external hdd useing windows 7 system image restore. I switched from a intel x25-m 80GB G2 and this is so much faster. I needed a little more space and also wanted faster writes this not only has faster writes but it has faster random reads and writes over the intel ssd.
came with the latest firmaware. scored 39 points higher on assd benchmark, and ATTO shows it runs to listed specs.
Cons: zip, zerro, zilch
Other Thoughts: only tweaks you will want to do with this drive is:
turn off and disable superfetch in services.
if you got a intel chipset board get intel rapid storage driver and enable disk data cache.
go to c: drive properties go to defrag and turn off schedule.
windows 7 has not done this for any of my ssd's!
also uncheck the box that says" allow files on this drive to have contents indexed in addition to file properties" be sure to apply and click ignore all, let the drive do it's thing.
go to device manager and right click drive and make sure check box "enable write caching on this device" is checked.
this is the fastest sandforce drive on the market that i have teted and hands down beats any current intel drives on the market also.
Pros: runs at spec 9-9-9-24-74-1T at +350 vtt 1.6 vdimm on a evga classified 760 motherboard. I am able to reach higher Gflops then I did with previous brand and run at 2100Mhz speeds with a i7 930 at 4.0-4.4GHz
Cons: didn't come with the g.skill ram fan, but the ram stays cool
Other Thoughts: just going from another brand @1600Mhz to this at 2100Mhz increased my 3D vantage mark by 3,000 points in performance mode.READ FULL REVIEW
