Pros: Using two of these in a RAID 1 to backup video editing projects until I get them on stable media, and performance wise I notice little difference between these in the RAID 1 and an older HDD that I use as a work drive. I haven't really done anything like edit 4k or RAW though. Way cheap per GB and performance.
Cons: Heavy as hell sitting in my case. Somewhat loud spin up but I have many fans anyways so I can't hear it after startup finishes.
Other Thoughts: Since I built my first computer HDD's have improved more than I thought they would. My first HDD had an 8MB cache.READ FULL REVIEW

Pros: Had these babies in my first build I did in 2004, and haven't had a hiccup in all six that ive used since then.
Cons: No heatsink, but thats a factor in the price. Plus the whole thing is a single core colled by 4 120's, can't say theres a lot of heat buildup there.READ FULL REVIEW
