Pros: RMA of first board only took a week and a half, and I live 6 hours from the "repair" facility apparently.
Cons: Had to RMA because this board refused to boot with 3 graphics cards attached. After paying for shipping and waiting, it would appear nothing was fixed at all.
I have lost productivity, and Gigabyte would simply have me ship the board back (again); which will not happen.
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
They were given their one chance to make this right, and failed.
Any response by Gigabyte to this review is meaningless. Trust that.
Other Thoughts: Buy from another manufacturer. Plain and simple.
Gigabyte will waste your time/money with the RMA process; and most likely your product will arrive in the same manner it left.
I have completely lost respect for Gigabyte, there was a time when I believed they really were the best (in terms of customer service/satisfaction) those days are gone.
This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990X + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Looks great.
Apparently has good features?
Cons: Installed 3 graphics cards, refuses to make it past the Windows 7 boot screen.
Updated BIOS, no revision of which does anything.
2nd Gigabyte motherboard that fails to support even the most basic of hardware, I even switched from Intel to AMD!
Currently waiting on the RMA of my first board, clearly Gigabyte does not care about their customers or they would make products that would function properly.
Nothing short of a brand new motherboard; that functions as it is advertised, free of any kind of charges (shipping or otherwise), would suffice to make this right.
Other Thoughts: Buy a motherboard from ANY OTHER manufacturer.
Stay away from Gigabyte branded ANYTHING.
They are in the business of peddling broken items, which they then make you pay to replace!
I repeat, BUY FROM ANOTHER MANUFACTURER!
Pros: Looks good. Appears to have a nice set of features.
Cons: Refuses to recognize dual graphics cards.
Updated BIOS (I tried every revision available on the website thus far) tried different sets of slots, nothing has helped.
Setup an account with Gigabyte, in an attempt to check my warranty status, but the website times out every, single, time. Therefor I'm left with one option; to pay approximately $45 for 'Repair' work.
Sent an email, was contacted by "John" after waiting several days, his response was to tell me what I had already attempted, and to fill out the RMA form. A complete waste of time and effort.
I would rather have my eyes scooped out with a melon-baller then have to deal with an RMA.
Pay to ship something that should work outright, then pay for it to be 'fixed', all whilst waiting weeks? No thank you.
Other Thoughts: Buy something else.
It looks great, I know, I know; trust me, buy something else.
Any other manufacturer, seriously.
