This review is from: Rosewill RHTS-8206 - USB Connector 5.1-Channel Vibrating Gaming Headset
Pros: First off, this headset does everything it's supposed to: I can talk to my friends without an absurd amount of feedback coming from my mic, I can hear everything that's going on in great quality, I'm pretty comfortable when wearing the headset. Vibration works, it's somewhat gimmicky, but it works very well, feels interesting, and adds a little bass when it's needed. Don't leave the vibration on level 2, you'll get an annoying little buzz/feedback when there's no other sounds coming through the headset.
Software problems? It takes some working with the drivers/software, but if you know what you're doing everything works.
Cons: This isn't the best headset to ever exist though. My biggest gripe with this headset is the controller, it's big, bulky, "heavy", and it makes using the headset somewhat annoying at times.
I've had a couple of things "break" in the year and a half of usage thus far: the overhead piece snapped when I was first playing with it, this might be part of the reason the fit isn't as good as I'd like it to be; and the cable sheathing came apart where it interfaces with the controller (the bane of the headset), this was fixable with some electrical tape.
I've also had two occurrences where, out of nowhere, I've gotten screeching, deafening feedback through the headset, this was fixed by unplugging and replugging it from/to the USB port.
Other Thoughts: Sure, it's not perfect, but this thing is ultra cheap. Honestly you can't expect a perfect design and operation at this price point. This headset is, however, great in that it does everything that it needs to, and it's pretty darn comfortable (almost perfect). The sound quality incoming and outgoing is great or, dare I say, fantastic.
TL:DR If you're on a budget, I don't think there's a headset that can beat this. If being frugal isn't necessary, there's probably better options.
Pros: it works perfectly, couldn't ask for more
I got it extremely cheap, $30 cheap, must have been a sale, but amazing for the price i paid.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Other Thoughts: I'm not sure about every motherboard, but for mine I had to up the speed to 1866, I believe my motherboard defaulted it to 1600. This should be extraordinarily simple to change in the BIOS though.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I've had this keyboard for nearly a year now, so it seems appropriate to give it a review finally.
Everything works as it's supposed to. I haven't had any problems that anyone else speaks of about this keyboard. Every key works perfectly, I can get into my BIOS just fine with N-key mode, and the keyboard has a great feel/ responsiveness to it. I don't use many of the extra functions (LEDs, Volume, windows key disabler, etc.), but they all work perfectly. The rubber feet on here have an amazing grip compared to other keyboards that I've used. Keys are also very easy to remove to clean under when hair and dust starts building up.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of, I've had 0 problems with the keyboard and everything works like a dream. There's really nothing that could make the keyboard better IMO.
Other Thoughts: I came from an old membrane keyboard so my first experience with mechanical has been amazing.READ FULL REVIEW
