This review is from: iStarUSA BPN-DE340SS-RED 3 x 5.25" to 4 x 3.5" SAS/SATA Trayless Hot-Swap Cage
Pros: It's really cool! Houses 4 HDDs in the space of 3 drive bays. Very easy to install, very easy to use and swap hard drives in and out of it. It even has a dedicated HDD status light for each drive, which lights up red, but through the same LED (which also lights up blue, for power), it appears purple. It even features key-locked doors, so you don't accidentally disconnect a running drive. You get to enable/disable the LEDs with a switch in the back of it, as well as change the fan speed from crazy fast, to slow. Fast, definitely hums pretty loud though.
Cons: Feels a little cheap, but it hasn't broken on me yet! So really, there aren't any. Maybe the fan is a bit too noisy when it's on its highest setting.
Other Thoughts: I am considering purchasing another one of these for my monster case. AMAZING for RAID configurations. <3READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: KINGWIN FPX-004 Multi-Function LCD Fan Controller Panel w/ Card Reader & USB 3.0 Hub
Pros: Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. lolol Timex. Anyways, this thing felt so cheap, I figured it would fall appart after a few months. Nope! It continues to read all media given to it, all the jacks work, and life is good. Definitely nice to have a place to plug in memory cards of all shapes and sizes into your computer without the hassle of adapters.
Cons: Cheep plastic body, feels like it's going to break before you even install it. Super light weight. Makes you sad that you paid $40 for something you felt came right off of the un-named production line straight from china.
You can't really turn off the SUPER BRIGHT annoying fan controller backlight/backlight knobs. :( I had to put black electrical tape over it, because I am never going to use them in this case.
Other Thoughts: I have *not* tested the fan controllers in this item. I never had the need for them, but it does come with two, each one with a dedicated speed controller and temperature sensor.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Everything! Strong CPU. Not even hyper threaded and it shows up as 8 threads/cores in my system task manager. Everything is lagg-less. I am very happy with this purchase!
Cons: It's not cheaper!
Other Thoughts: Sorry AMD. My first $300 AMD CPU gave me the worst nightmares I've ever had. Intel is where it's at.READ FULL REVIEW
