Pros: - Very powerful GPU for the money right now (Feb 2016)
- Piece of cake to install and get running. Literally just plug and play and install the included drivers and software.
- VERY quiet and cool operation
Cons: The installation software is default set to install some unnecessary stuff like Google Chrome toolbar and some other thing at the outset and then later asks to install 5 different things one of which is the "registration program" according to the internet. I guess some junk software is going to be default set to install but as long as you choose the custom installation option then you can deselect it.
Other Thoughts: This is light years better than my previous card (Radeon HD 5570) and I've never put down the dough when getting a new graphics card for a new PC build but I finally caved in and I gotta say, it's pretty nice. It also has those 1664 CUDA cores which I use for BOINC applications when I'm not gaming and my computer is crunching about 4.5x more than before.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: A very well designed case. Cable management is great; allows cable routing through the side of the case behind the mobo to keep the rats nest from building up in the middle of the case. Every screw needed was provided and there were some extras! There is also a plastic air flow direction-er to help pull cool air across your HDDs. The LED-lit fans are neat but not that big of an addition. The fans themselves are very quiet and keep the case cool like it should be. My HDD temps have dropped from the highs I saw on my last 15 year old Antec case. The brackets that hold/load add-on cards are a tad funky but they work just fine.
Cons: I can't really come up with anything except that the cables running from the front USB ports weren't long enough to plug into the port I wanted them plugged into.
Other Thoughts: A great case. I got it for $140 and the current price seems a tad high. If you want a quality case that will last your build a long time, I'd get this puppy.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Worked great, no problems installing or using drive. Quite fast with great response times and data speeds. Never had any issues with heat or noise. (But then again my computer was somewhat noisy to begin with so this drive might've gotten lost in the background noise)
Cons: Died after 2 years of faithful service. (computer was almost never off) WD promptly RMA'ed me a replacement.
Other Thoughts: I suspect the drive never spins down which I'm sure increases power consumption and wear and tear on the drive.READ FULL REVIEW
