This review is from: 7 Inch Colorful Universal Leather Case Cover Stand for 7" Tablet PC Mid Android
Pros: Snug fit, nice firm tension of spring adjustable clip.
Control buttons, usb, headphone jack, all easily accessible.
The folding stand design works well. (tab tucks neatly out of the way.)
Cons: The material seems firm, but a little cardboard like and the interior had just a few light colored specks which I thought were cardboard dust from the protective filler used for packaging, but it turned out to be the occasional errant thread coming through. These could have been trimmed, I suppose, but since I chose a black cover, I just used a black sharpie to make them disappear! :-) That said, I'd buy again.
Other Thoughts: I wish it were a better quality pseudo-leather. Still, much better than no cover at all.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Not DOA - Hitachi drives used to have a low failure rate. Too early to know about the more recent drives, now that WD owns them. NewEgg's policty on hard drive packaging has improved greatly, and as always, they shipped it promptly.
NewEgg supplied the RMA Return Shipping Label.
Cons: As with another brand drive NewEgg sells (think T), the advertised model IS NOT WHAT YOU GET. What does this mean... YOUR WARRANTY IS VOID. 0-days WARRANTY..
Advertised HGST Deskstar NAS H3IKNAS30003272SN
Received HGST Deskstar HDN724030ALE640
A quick check at Hitachi HDD Warranty/RMA site reveals this drive only comes with a 2 year warranty, but only if you have a proper receipt stating you bought this model, which you don't! Meaning: ZERO WARRANTY and likely an INFERIOR DRIVE.
NewEgg offered me a $20 partial refund, which I declined. I asked for $40, they declined. RMA in progress.
Other Thoughts: Since this is the second time this has occurred to me while buying 2 different manufacturer's drives from NewEgg, I am justifiably concerned about NewEgg's policies. Common sense tells us it's NewEgg's responsibility to determine if a manufacturer sends them the correct product, and if not, CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Yet, reading through the other drive's reviews reveals this is an ongoing issue.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Newegg Eggs Model# 3gg0v3r3a5y - OEM
Pros: When I saw that the NewEgg family had decided to allow some of their youngest family members to be sold to the public, my first thought was, "Isn't this some sort of slavery!" and "The economy must be worse than I thought!" But then I realized the genius of it... Ship millions of your family members to all parts of the world, and when they grow up, and the time is right, they take over the world! We'll see NewEggs selling Cars, NewEggs selling boats, planes, houses, NewEgg fast food, NewEgg clothing lines, NewEgg grocery stores, etc... Imagine the millions and millions of satisfied customers!
Cons: None, no cons!! From the second I understood the plan, I knew I had to be a part of it. I knew I had to do my part by giving some of these precious little NewEggs the best home I could provide. In the hopes of helping to make a better world for us all, I ordered as many as I could afford. As usual, NewEgg shipped them out so fast they actually arrived BEFORE I finished placing the order! Now I'm the proud guardian of 4 of the most adorable little NewEggs you've ever seen!
Other Thoughts: These little ones are already exemplifying their industrious family traits. One of them, we call him Harry, well Harry collected all my daughters alphabet blocks and built himself what we thought was a vacation home. But before we knew it, he had collected all my son’s toy cars, lined them up out front, and put up a "Used Cars for Sale" sign! I swear I think I saw a mouse scooting along on one of them this very afternoon!
The others are obviously also from the NewEgg family gene pool because they can all be seen running around doing whatever needs to be done. It was fascinating watching them do whatever it takes to get a job done. Once, I witnessed them standing on each others "shoulders" -four little Neweggs high, in front of the open dryer. Well, the top little one (George) climbed in, and within seconds, popped back out carrying not one, but two of our infamous missing socks! I just couldn't believe it! These little Neweggs are just amazing...
