This review is from: Mini 150Mbps Atheros AR9271 Chip USB Wifi Wireless Adapter with 5dBi Antenna
Pros: User Friendly. East of transporting. Good signal quality. This device is utilized in a downtown area with tall buildings.
Other Thoughts: This works as it should for what it is built to do but do not expect miracles. If you want that then you should perhaps purchase the WiFi x10 by MediaTek [Ralink] but even the WiFi x10 cannot give you a signal if nothing is there. Over all I am satisfied with the Atheros AR9271.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Does what it is suppose to. It is a good unobtrusive USB WiFi Antenna.
Other Thoughts: Yes, I would purchase again. But.. one must keep in mind this USB WiFi, even though it draws in a good amount of WiFi Broadcasting it will not draw in as many as an true external WiFi Antenna. For what it is designed for, it functions well.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS X79 DELUXE LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Plenty of "options" yet a bit disappointing. See Cons.
Cons: #1, it took 4 returns to get a good board. I am so thankful for Newegg's return policy, in my case they even went beyond their policy. Newegg deserves 5 stars. #2, the ASMedia SATA6G ports do not show up in the POST BIOS. Apparently it was an "after thought" to obtain 2 more 6G ports. Only way of knowing if they are active is observing Device Manager and only way of knowing if they are actually functioning as 6G is through a 3rd party application such as HDTune or equivalent. The 4 Marvell SATA6G ports show up as 6G but have a slow DATA transfer rate when compared to the "after thought" ASMedia but yet Marvell remains a tad faster than 3G ports. It would make things more efficient if iNtel were to upgrade the X79 chipset for 6G or design a new chipset for LGA 2011 for present day 6G Devices. 3G is history.
Other Thoughts: During my trials & tribulations with this Board I can only give praise to ASUS TECH Support. They answered all my eMails in an expeditious manner and were knowledgeable with the product. Their explanations for troubleshooting were straight forward & down to earth where a layman could understand them.READ FULL REVIEW
