Pros: Great motherboard. was hesitant on buying based on the reviews. But I put this board together with a Core i7 6700k, G. Skill XMP 2400mhz ram and this thing booted up on first try. Using the XMP setting I had no problems. I had a Asrock, Gigabyte, before this one, the others had issues, and I wasn't able to OC at all on those, this one did it right out of the box. Love the on board sound I normally use a dedicated sound card, I have a Creative SoundBlaster Z but I like this one over the Z. So I will be selling the Z. There were some issues with the voltage on the 1001 bios, my CPU idled at 1.31 on that bios however on the new bios 1102, and 1202 the voltage is at 1.26 and the temps dropped as well from 62 to 49 with the latest bios. It's a great board a lot of the problems reported were reported with the initial bios, what you have to do is keep in mind that the Z170 chipset is a new chipset and they all have issues at first, ASUS is doing a great job in paying attention to the forums and reviews and is making great strides to resolve the issues. It is a really stable board now and really good for the price. ASUS does a great job on products and their QC is still great regardless of what people are saying. The best of all I bought an Open Box version of this MB so it was someone else's loss and my gain cause I saved $30.
Cons: None. the cons have been resolved with the latest bios update. The board is rock solid.
Other Thoughts: I purchased the open box version and it worked right out of the box. A lot of the issues are with people wanting to run OC'ed ram at 2400+mhz the memory controller is on the CPU now and anything above 2133mhz is considered OC'ed so the negative reviews you see for someon trying to runn 3000mhz ram on XMP profile getting a BSOD it's not the motherboard is the ram controller on the CPU not every CPU is going to be able to run ram above 2133mhz. This is a really good board, but it's new technology and as I stated a shift from where the memory controller is versus the Z68-Z97... Do some research. And trust that this is a good board.READ FULL REVIEW

This review is from: ASRock Z170 Pro4 LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Worked perfectly right out of the box. Plugged in i7 6700k and it booted right up with no problems at all. Nice Solid Motherboard. Great layout, and looks, and a really good price. Nice UEFI bios. Has M.2.
Other Thoughts: I you are looking for a Z170 board, but don't necessarily care for USB 3.1 this is a perfect board based on the price and layout. Really nice quality for the price.READ FULL REVIEW
