This review is from: Zyxel NSA320 Network Multimedia Server
Pros: Works exactly as advertised. The support documentation to learn how to operate and maintain it is very good, and plentiful. I could not find any aspect of device that is not covered. Best of all I researched the topic of media servers for at least a month. The Zyxel model works just like a comparable device that costs 3 times more, but works just like it and that is what convinced me to buy it. You can download all support documents before you buy it to make sure you will be happy with it.
Cons: While the documentation leaves nothing out on "how to", they do not explain "why you do it". You cannot exploit some of the advanced features unless you educate yourself in networking skills and procedures. But, if all you want is to host your media files it is very, very simple.
Other Thoughts: For the money, no one else comes close to this brand of media servers. Just being able to go to their website and download the user manual before you purchase it is extremely helpful in making a choice. There is another more famous brand that cost a minimum of $330. But why spend that much when you get the same think with Zyxel for $110.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ZyXEL NSA320 Diskless System 2-Bay Power Media Server
Pros: - Fast, easy setup right out of the box
- Product does exactly what is advertised (so far)
Cons: None to speak of
Other Thoughts: I bought this mainly to move streaming from my laptop to TV, and keep my laptop out of that loop. I wasn't too crazy about working my disks like that for very long.
This box and software does exactly as the documentation states. And nowadays, to buy something brand new, get it home and it is not broke or faulty, you have done something remarkable.
I have bought far too many things made in Asia that are not what the advertisement says they are, and are total junk. As good as this equipment works I bet it is not made overseas..
