This review is from: Link Depot POW-ADT-4P8 4-pin to 8-pin Adapter Cable
Pros: $1.60 and free shipping
Other Thoughts: Only reason I needed this "adapter" is because my new case has a bottom mounted power supply compared to my old top mounted case - in my new case the power supply 4pin cpu cable wouldn't reach the socket on my motherboard - i could have just used some extra wire and solder to increase the length a few cms, but for $1.60 including shipping this was the lazy man's solution.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Corsair Nova Series 2 2.5" 60GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-V60GB2
Pros: Can't think of one single pro, honestly.
Cons: As EVERYONE has experienced, these drives will stutter, freeze, and fail. I tried the 3rd party firmware fix (posted by mackad1414) as well as Corsair's suggestion - "secure erase by "Parted Magic". Still JUNK.
Other Thoughts: Thanks mackad1414 for the link to 3rd party firmware update - this _helps_, but the drive is still a pig and SLOW even compared to HDDs. Nothing can fix this drive, send it back to Corsair for RMA and hope for a different replacement. Maybe if enough of us return these drives they will finally admit problems and send us working drives.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: DirectX 11 PCI Card
Other Thoughts: I don't know why everyone says you need a 300 or even 250 watt power supply - I installed this in an IBM ThinkCentre S50 with 200 watt power supply and it works no problem. I have played Civilization 5 for hours and ran benchmarks (heaven and 3dmark) without any power issue - and the S50's have a CD-ROM drive AND floppy drive to suck power as well.
This card will boost life into practically any old computer with a PCI slot - a MUST HAVE if you work or play on an older PC.
