Pros: Works as advertised. Bios issues have been sorted out as I went with stock bios and see no reason to change. Skylake i5 flies in this. Used Silverstone shoe-box case and therin lies the problem. I should have bought the XFX wire bundle to go with my 650 watt modular P/S but planned very well and everything just barely fit. The maximum sized fan was a no go and went with a 4"
If you custom wire your in business if not use a bigger case. Way too many features to count on the bios. Also wouldn't try after masrket air cooling as there's simply no room of ranything better then stock as the ram if jammed next to the cpu. However Skylark does not run hot.
Cons: See Above
Other Thoughts: Amazing this board has so much in so little space.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Noctua NH-L9i 95mm SSO2 CPU Cooler
Pros: I'm building a HTPC using mini ITX z170i Asus and a skylark 4core 65watt CPU. While this fans 65 max wattage would seen ok, it does keep the caps on on of the two corners without a path of cooling air. Stick with the stock por get a bigger casze and find a taller cooler that circulates 360 and you should be fine. Also use the CPU power socket closest to the corner. There are 2 right next to each other and the other one made my stock fan herky jerky. Probably for case fans. The one near the edge of the board it the correct one.
Cons: Design blocks two side almost to chip level so there's no circulation to any components blocked.
Other Thoughts: Asus z170i Boards from Neg egg have no instructions and no driver disk. Not much of a problem but I've built about 700 different servers atc.READ FULL REVIEW
