PowerColor AXR7 250X 1GBD5-HE Radeon R7 250X 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Easy install, excellent frame rates, very smooth and stable. Performed better than I expected from reading online reviews. Tried a R7 250 then a R7 250X. The 250X was the better card (IMO).

Cons: A little pricey without rebate (I got it for $25 off and free shipping)

Other Thoughts: This card was an upgrade for an i7 casual gamer desktop PC which had an old stock HD4870 in it. Very noticeable improvement.

ENCORE ENHWI-2AN3 Wireless Router With Repeater 802.11b/g/n up to 300Mbps/ 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port x4
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Easy set up, very reliable, solid connection speeds, very compact and mulit-functional. Multiple SSID's allow for several connection options. This unit has the best performance v. price you will find in a router / repeater / access point.

Cons: Smallish 2dbi antenna. They work well for what they are, but I added 7dbi antennas on the router.

Other Thoughts: I have one set up as my router and the other set up as a AP/Repeater. This set up works very well to cover my entire property with WiFi. Was ultra simple to set up and has never had to be reset.

TP-LINK TL-WR841N Wireless N300 Home Router, 300Mbps, IP QoS, WPS Button

5 out of 5 eggs Excellent budget router 02/12/2012

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR841N Wireless N300 Home Router, 300Mbps, IP QoS, WPS Button

Pros: This is my 3rd personal TP-Link router and I have yet to be disappointed. While debating if I should upgrade from G to N a friend of mine bought a TL-WR841N. I set it up for them and was so impressed I bought one for myself too. It was a wise move and a worthy upgrade.

Cons: Comes with a short beige ethernet cable. A nice long black cable would have been nice (and probably wouldn't have gone the way of the trash can).

Other Thoughts: Are there better routers out there? Yes. Are there better routers out there for the money? Nope. Encore comes close, so does Rosewill, but for my money TP-Link is the way to go.
