Intel BXSTS100C Passive/active combination heat sink with removable fan
  • Verified Owner

5 out of 5 eggs Ad it should be. 04/27/2016

This review is from: Intel BXSTS100C Passive/active combination heat sink with removable fan

Pros: Everyone saying it's loud- it is designed for servers....not your desktop gaming rig. There are better solutions for that....like liquid. Works as it should. If it doesn't work as well, it probably is full of dust and should be cleaned...among other things that are not to be blamed on the cooler.

Cons: None.

Pros: Card works well, temps are good.

Cons: First card was defective. Had to send to Zotac for warranty. They did turn it around fairly quickly, and new card has been reliable.

Other Thoughts: I would buy it again. Actually, might buy another for a different PC.

OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model OCZ3P2000LV4GK
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: It worked on my old EVGA 790i FTW fine.

Cons: When I upgraded to an Asus Maximus VI Gene with an Intel i5, system will not boot, even with memOK! Even on my EVGA system, it wouldn't clock over about 1500Mhz.

Other Thoughts: I'm no expert at overclocking, and maybe I was expecting too much from my older system, expecting easy overclocks. Not booting on a new system, now that's just ridiculous.
