Pros: - fairly good sound
- serviceable mic
- great build quality
- large ear cups
Cons: - heavy
- mic could be better
- virtual surround sucks
- over the top gamer look
Other Thoughts: I have come to be quite happy with this headset. They sound pretty good, but lack a bit of sharpness to the sound. They are comfortable now that I am used to them. The thing that truly impressed me when I first got them was the build quality. The cable is nicely braided and the headset gives no indication of flimsiness. The virtual surround makes music and voice sound significantly worse with no noticeable benefit in games so I recommend leaving the virtual surround off. For the first few days I thought I had made a mistake buying these, but now I am very happy with them.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: low price, decent specs
Cons: received with dead battery, not enough RAM
Other Thoughts: I am rarely away from my desktop so I don't need a laptop often, but thought I should get one just in case. This laptop is powerful enough for simple computing tasks, but not a whole lot more. I decided to add another stick of RAM to speed it up since I found I was running out of RAM rather quickly. The laptop also failed to charge, but worked off the power brick, so I took a gamble and replaced the battery and fixed the issue. I really can't complain about a complete and functional laptop for the price though.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset
Pros: Sound Quality, Bass, Comfort, Mic
Cons: Build Quality
Other Thoughts: After using these for nine months I am still very happy with the sound quality and comfort of this headset. The bass is powerful while still being sharp and not sacrificing the mids and highs. I haven't used the mic since I got the headset, but it sounded good when I did try it and it is detachable.
However I am less happy with how this headset has withstood the test of time. After about four months of using the front panel connector on my PC the audio in side of the cable started shorting out. I currently have some electrical tape wrapped around the first few inches of the cable to combat this issue. Then a couple months later there were pieces rattling around in the left ear cup. Also, recently I have noticed the in line volume control has started acting a little sketchy.
I will still recommend this headset overall, but just keep in mind that they may start to show some wear after several months.
