SAMSUNG Spinpoint MP4 ST500LM019 / HM500JJ 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5

Pros: great price point. added this as the main drive in my gaming laptop, Dive clone went nice an smooth with no issues. Faster load times and increase in performance over my old 5400rpm drive. adequate space for my needs, stays cool mine runs at about 30-35C and under load maybe hits 45C at most. It runs at about 75-80Mbs sequential read and 70-75Mbs sequential write. which is almost double my old drive. great upgrade for my machine.

Cons: not as fast as an SSD but much much cheaper for the size.

Other Thoughts: wish I could use a raid 0 in my laptop but no support for it. maybe in the future ill use this as the storage drive and get an ssd for my OS. but im happy with the purchase and would recommend the product. I have bought all different brands and Samsung seems to be one of the better brands I have purchased. If upgrading most drives will crash within the first few weeks if at all. So keep that in mind if you do a clone like I did. Make sure to keep a backup until you know its not a lemon.

2.4Ghz Quality Wireless Optical Mouse Mice 2000 DPI USB 2.0 for PC Laptop

5 out of 5 eggs Great little mouse 02/12/2014

This review is from: 2.4Ghz Quality Wireless Optical Mouse Mice 2000 DPI USB 2.0 for PC Laptop

Pros: Works as advertised, uses 2xAAA batteries, has an auto off feature when not in use, as well as a on off switch on the bottom. The usb receiver is nice and small and can be stowed in the battery bay, solid design with extra thumb buttons and mouse wheel button in all 5. Nice ergonomic design for both left and right handed people, and has a dpi switch to suit your needs. nice and responsive, I use it on my gaming laptop and I have fairly large hands and is comfortable even though it is a small design. My girlfriend says it looks like something from the batman movies, not sure of the range haven't really tested it but works well at about 10-15 feet with no mouse pad for me.

Cons: nothing I have found yet.

Other Thoughts: had for about 2-3 weeks with no issues. I even dropped it a few times and still works fine. for what I spent on it, it was well worth the money. no more getting up to use the touch pad anymore when I need to change a movie or TV show. and works well with all the games I have tried. I would recommend this mouse.

Pros: this took me some time to find on the site but was i every happy. This has a nice big display with ample resolution for games and movies. the speakers are significantly better than my previous machine. It comes with a dual video card system working in tandem or individually for the best of both worlds, gaming and movies as well as good battery life and low power consumption if needed. Full keyboard, and built in web cam. The benchmarks are close to many machines at a higher price, also has space for a second HD or SSD which is suggested as that is the slowest piece on the machine. I just ordered a 7200 rpm drive myself. i also like the HDMI and VGA output so i can so i can connect to other monitors and TV's.

Cons: not very many. I prefer win 7-64bit however win 8 is good for my uses and is 64 bit as well and really you can always downgrade if necessary. the other is that according to my research there is an 8 gig max on the ram, it would be nice to have the option to upgrade to 16 gigs as much of the ram is used for the video processor.

Other Thoughts: Like i said i would suggest an SSD or 7200 rpm drive. great performance for the price point. Haven't tried many high demanding games but what i have seen does impress me for a laptop. This is at least 2-4 times faster than my old machine which was also an asus and lasted me more than 5 years with little to no complications. Buying refurbished is always a gamble hence the decreased price, however newegg has always treated me well in the past, i guess that is why i have been a customer for almost a decade now.
