This review is from: KEF KHT2005.3K1 Home Audio Speaker System
Pros: Love the sleek appearance of the whole system. Crisp clear sound from the satellites with good bass from the subwoofer. Sounds good even with cheap receiver.
Cons: Must use a subwoofer - satellites don't reach near low enough by themselves.
Other Thoughts: I am using this in a 3.1 configuration in a small sunroom as an upgrade to an Energy CB-5/CC-10 satellite and Polk subwoofer combination. Though I enjoyed my old speakers, the sound is significantly different between the two. The KEF satellites don't go as low as the Energy speakers but provide much greater detail in the upper mids and treble range.
Got a good deal through a Newegg/OneCall sale recently. It's only been a week but I am very happy thus far with the KEFs for stereo music and movies. Would love to pair these with a better quality amp in the future.
This review is from: 27-LED Superbright Worklight Flashlight with Hook Hanger and Magnet
Pros: Seems quite bright enough for me using as either a worklight or flashlight though I have really on tested it thus far and not had to rely on it as a sole source of light.
The magnet is quite strong and functional. I have it attached to a metal pole in our basement now for future use.
Batteries are strong enough for now though I am not necessarily expecting them to last long.
Cons: No cons about the flashlight but the shipping had me a little worried. Came slowly in the mail and when I checked the tracking number on the shippers site, it came up as invalid making me a little worried it would never arrive.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Klipsch WC-24 Icon-W Series Espresso Center Channel Speaker Each
Pros: - Yes, the cabinet is awesome
- Nice intermediate size
- Sale price makes it very attractive
Cons: - Muddy upper midrange
Other Thoughts: I've had this center channel for almost a year now. I am using it a few times a week for movies played at moderate levels. I also have 2 x WF-34s and 2 x WB-14s as well as part of a 5.1 system. I am using an Onkyo NR509 receiver.
Maybe it's that my center channel is set in a cabinet or that I just have broken it in yet as much as the towers I use for listening to music, but this speaker just doesn't sound as good to me as I wish it did. Lower midrange and treble are pretty good, but vocals and similar pitches are just not that clear.
Yes, it still sounds 'good' (and looks great) but I was hoping for a more detailed sound and overall better performance especially given its full MRSP. I am hopeful it will improve with age without having to redo the electronics as others have described.
