This review is from: Intel E10G42BTDA Server Adapter X520-DA2 10Gbps PCI Express 2.0 x8 2 x SFP+
Pros: Generally available to consumers. Working fine with GBIC transceiver by Axiom, model E10GSFPSR-AX and multi mode fiber cable in Windows 2008 R2 with Intel driver version 126.96.36.199 on Supermicro X8DTU-F linked to HP switch.
Cons: 10G still too expensive.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Large capacity, big cache, fast RPMs.
Cons: Short longevity
Other Thoughts: Of 10 purchased, 3 have died within first 30 days. Going to start buying locally since return shipping is an issue.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Intel BOXDP55WB LGA 1156 Intel P55 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Mostly works with Debian Linux (Lenny) out of the box. Sound works fine.
Cons: Not 100% compatible with Debian Lenny but close enough for me.
Other Thoughts: Did a network install with Debian. Network card was not detected during install so I put in a 2nd card to get the OS installed. Then did a dist-upgrade to unstable. On-board card was detected so I removed the 2nd NIC and configured networking on the on-board NIC. Works well.READ FULL REVIEW
