This review is from: SYBA CL-CAB40042 6" 37"/6" Mini SATA Data/Power Cable with Molex Power Adapter
Pros: Folks, you are going about this all wrong for those of you who are looking to hookup SSD's. You still need a standard Sata cable and standard sata power cable for desktop installations however, you need to also order the mSATA to SATA adapter along with it. This will mount your SSD on a 2.5" adapter which you can then install to laptops or mount to a 2.5: to 3.5" frame adapter for desktops. Search for "mSATA SSD adapter" without the quotes on here (Newegg). Make sure you select the right product which will fit your SSD card - 50mm or 70mm.
Cons: Syba Tech support ...... Shame on you for not mentioning your own product for the SSD adapter I mentioned..
Other Thoughts: I think that Syba Tech support got caught up in self defense in lieu of proposing the correct solution.
This cable should not take a bash because the correct solution was not used. Although this cable may work with the application they mentioned, it is not for use as an msata cable direction to the SSD Cards. You need a std SATA and Power cable and it works fine with the desktop solution along with the proper SSD adapter.
Newegg is usually pretty good at recommending related products but they missed this one for the adapter when selling SSD's for desktops or legacy laptops. These SSD drives are tiny and it is not apparent till you get one in your hand.
Chime in guys if I missed something.
Hope this helps.
