Pros: -High Quality heatsink
-10k+ PPD for Folding@Home
-Overclocks well if you can stand the noise (see below)
Cons: From the start this card made a very noticeable high pitch squealing noise when there is any load on it. I have a Storm Scout case with a bunch of fans in it and this does not help to drown out the noise. I RMA'd the first card hoping it was a defect. I received the new card but it does the exact same thing the first one did. I have to down clock the GPU to 700 mhz just to be able to be in the same room with it.
Also be aware that this card is a "Version 2" and will NOT SLI with the original card. This is a GF114 core whereas the original 460 was a GF104. I did not take off an egg for it because I was aware of this but they are not very forthcoming with the info on this limitation.
Other Thoughts: The craftsmanship of the card appears to be top notch but the squealing is unbearable.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I love everything about this PSU. It is whisper quiet yet stays remarkably cool. The modular design is fantastic for keeping your case clean and neat. All the cabling is sleeved very nicely and all the wires are of sufficient length. It came in a very nice plastic toolbox that I still use to store parts in. OH, and another pro is THERE ARE NO OBNOXIOUS LED'S IN IT!
Cons: Truly none, this thing has never flinched even once since I bought it.
Other Thoughts: This is currently powering my AMD rig:
Phenom II x6 @ 3.6 Ghz
12 Gb DDR3 1600 ram
2 WD 500 GB HDD's
XFX HD 6870
Gigabyte GTX 460
I use this computer for Folding @ Home and it runs 24/7
This review is from: Aliens Vs Predator PC Game
Pros: When I bought it, it was only $5.99, CAN'T BEAT THAT. The game looks terrific, its also my only Direct-X 11 game. Fun storyline and great replay-ability. The human campaign was actually REALLY scary for me. Like, Dead Space scary but the other two campaigns are awesome. Very intuitive controls (alien can be a little finicky at times) SMOOOTH graphics.
Cons: Voice acting isn't the best I've heard. Also, the campaigns "lack" a really sense of direction. It basically feels like you go to this part, kill kill kill, go to next part, kill kill kill, and so on so on.....
Other Thoughts: Graphics totally maxed out and great FPS.
