Pros: Great looking board. 5 Year warranty.
Cons: Bad BIOS
Bad ASUS Support
Bad USB Ports
Bad SATA Ports
Bad CPU - bus integration design
UFI Bios worthless
Other Thoughts: ASUS really dropped the ball on this and all AMD boards. I bought the line and purchased this aboard when the first gen FX 4100 chips came out a few years back. This system was to be my back up system and as such is seldom used. That being said when I need it too run I spend most of my time troubling shooting the system. The 990FX will often fail to detect its SATA drives, with the slave drive being dumped more often than not. The BIOS were bad to begin with and were never fixed. ASUS has a horrible habit of dropping support for their products shortly after they are sent to market. I regrettably have never had an ASUS board NOT FAIL. I can say this now with 7 years of ASUS behind me. When the board was RMA's they sent back the wrong board. The second board was DOA, as was the third and fourth. Finally got a replacement that worked, and it has the same issues as the first board. Looses the SATA connections, USB ports are enabled but will not work after post. And the kicker, the board IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 10. I did the upgrade and had nothing but issues with the USB and Sata ports not working. It was a real pain and ASUS knows that the bios for this board (all versions) are all but broken and they have no plans on updating them. Buyer beware with any ASUS product. If you want a board that wont be supported after launch, buy ASUS.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Netgear N900 Dual Band Gigabit Wireless Router with 3.5" Storage Bay (WNDR4700)
Cons: Failed within one year of ownership. Netgear refused to honor their own warranty and replace product.
Other Thoughts: I will NEVER gain own a netgear product. I strongly advise that you avoid buying anything Netgear. This router has been nothing but a huge problem since the get go. It is loud, runs very hot, and often requires hours of down time in order to "reset." The software that came with the router caused extreme system lag and connectivity issues often reducing ISP speed by up to 40%. When I contacted Netgear about the issues and tried to obtain and RMA, I was given the run around for months. Now the unit is out of warranty and they won't even discuss replacement.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Its works and run well.
Cons: cables are too short.
Other Thoughts: Had an issue with it at start up where it would not supply power to the system. Not sure what the cause or problem was that occurred but I reseated the cables, and she worked. Thus far no issues at all. Smooth even power supply.READ FULL REVIEW
