Pros: This thing is ENORMOUS and cools the R9 290X like no other. the card idles at approx. 45C and never goes over 60C, which is about 35C lower than the max temps I was seeing with the stock cooler with the fan @ ~70% or so.
Cons: this card doesnt fit in my case entirely. It WORKS, but i have a bitfenix prodigy mini ITX, and in order for it to work, i leave the sode door off. This makes the card stick out and gathers more dust, but it runs so cool that I cant complain.
the RAM SINKS SUCK! They dont stay on and I had to get extra ones for the 290X to work with this from my local newegg. they are now held on by arctic cooling thermal adhesive instead of the inadequate 3M tape, and all is well.
The mounting solution for the heatsink is abysmal... The thing needs to be help on while trying to hold the card still, and screw in the tiny screws, while making sure the spacers dont move... it was liek playing twister with my hands and it was pretty terrible.
Other Thoughts: If you want to cool your 290X with the lowest possible temps on air, get this cooler... just be prepared for some finger yoga!
Believe me, I work in IT for a living, and deal with hardware ALL DAY and it still took me 2 HOURS to get this thing onto my card. it was THAT annoying.
This review is from: OCZ Enyo 128GB USB 3.0 MLC External Solid State Disk
Pros: Great little product, works fast, as advertized. Not too large, small enough for pockets.
Cons: Gets a little warm, nothing out of the ordinary.
Other Thoughts: RESPONSE TO THE USER COMPLAINING ABOUT 128GB being only 119: The way manufacturers advertize GB is out of 1000 Megabytes. They way computers work is that it shows a GB as 1024MB. each of those MB is 1024 KB and so on. As such, you're going to 'lose' some GB when using any storage device because of the way computers work. Before you blame the company, why don't you figure this out for yourself?
This product is as advertized, and runs great. If i were to consider buying it again, I would definitely wait until the price drops though.
Pros: Comes very well packaged in a nice box, the cables all tied neatly ad in bags. Basically, this thing is immaculate, and put together well. It has a nice array of parts that compliment any higher end system.
+Has a Delta Power supply which is a world renown server PSU company, so its reliably and has a ****ton of connectors. 750w rating is great for even the mghtiest rigs. Dont buy into the whole 1000w+ PSUs as quad SLI rigs rarely draw over 500w and 40A.
+Nice watercooling on the CPU block, huge exhaust fan.
Cons: WAY TOO OVERPRICED....
- Only a GTX 280, for this price, you could easily build a GTX 295 QUAD setup that runs much faster.
- UGLY CASE... -> this is what I took the egg off for, its so friggen ugly. Also, not as roomy as I'd like for upgrading.
