Pros: Performs silent and cool. Read and write times are very good.
Other Thoughts: Manufacture date: NOV 2011
Location: South Korea
I feel better buying an HDD from friends in a country with a good record of worker rights and a livable rate of pay and better environmental record.
Pros: Works great in my Mac Mini 2011 with stock 2GB RAM and it upped the VRAM from 288MB to 512MB on the Intel Radeon 3000!
Easy to open simple packaging that I was able to reuse to store my old 2 x 1GB chips.
Cons: Shipping took a bit longer with USPS. But it was free so really, can't complain...
Other Thoughts: Why do manufacturers keep listing 1333 RAM chips as either 10600/10660/10666???? It is still the exact same chip just different rounding in their marketing packaging.
It is just confusing customers....
Pros: Love the design and ease of use! Stuck in one 3.5" and a 2.5" and it started up and works just fine. Did a backup to both drives, unplugged and put it in a cabinet for storage till the next monthly major backup, easy sneezy!
The power button is rock solid and a good strong fairly recessed "click" for on and off. Not sure if people were beating it up or ThermalTake updated the button, but it is near impossible to accidentally turn it off from my experience.
The two blue LED lights for each HDD are much welcomed and lets me know which is being accessed and when. Also, they are not annoyingly bright, kudos!
Cons: A bit plasticky feel and bigger than I expected, but not a problem as it won't be on the desk regularly, only when I need to use it.
Other Thoughts: Will be using it to make a clone, and the other for Time Machine backups on my Mac so it won't be used heavily at all, so hopefully it will last awhile!
Being used with: Mac Mini 2011 with Lion 10.7.2.
