Pros: easy to install and mirror 2x2tb hdds. tiny! my freenas box is eatx and giant, this is awesome for the size. DSM4.0! wow, it's a desktop, it's a web based environment, it's the bomb (wow I know). easily set up guest with read only for all local devices to stream. android apps! can monitor, stream, dl/ul from android apps, search synology on play store.
Cons: only 2 bay, but for the price/size this is perfect.
Other Thoughts: obviously this cannot replace a fully realized nas with >2 bays, but I learned to offload less important stuff (read anime/old tv) to an external I keep powered off most of the time. for current tv/movies/music this is the best. again, dsm4.0 is the best web interface for a commercial nas I've seen. also 'uname -a> Linux glen 220.127.116.11 #2233 Wed Jun 6 04:25:24 CST 2012 armv5tel GNU/Linux synology_88f6281_212j' so yes to ssh and I named him glen :pREAD FULL REVIEW

Cons: not sure its printing as fast as advertised, but w/e.
Other Thoughts: got it for $40 on black fridayREAD FULL REVIEW
