Kingston SSDNow V Series SNV425-S2/64GB 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Got it on rebate for a great deal. In regular desktop usage, I notice no difference between this and my 120GB Intel G2 in an identical machine. Not problems as of yet.

Cons: No utility such as "Intel SSD Optimizer" provided. A simple utility like this can give you alot of information on how to better set up your drive and restore lost performance. One star off for this...

Other Thoughts: You guys having slowdowns, are you sure you have AHCI enabled and TRIM support in hardware/drivers? For whatever reason using my onboard gigabyte SATA ports in AHCI would not pass TRIM. However using the AMD chips SATA/AHCI would. Too bad kingston doesn't give you a nice utility like the SSD Optimizer like Intel does.

This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-MA770-UD3 AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Great layout, features, and price.

Stable and Simple.

Cons: Not free!

Other Thoughts: These boards are probably one of the nicest I have ever worked with. I am slowly phasing out other boards and now my whole house is gigabyte.

3 out of 5 eggs Good remote, no problems thus far 05/29/2009

This review is from: AVS Gear HA-IR01SV Infrared Certified MCE VISTA Remote Control

Pros: Works very well for me.

Cons: A little red light on the reciever flashes everytime it gets and IR signal. Apparently we have alot of stray IR, the thing flashes fairly frequently with no remotes being used. (-1 star)

As others mention, it doesn't learn either (-1 star)

Other Thoughts: I have my learning remote learn its keys and I had some problems until I read the other reviewers note about the registry entry setting. One edit and reboot later, things are working well.
